Trainers

Ian Colley

An American Council on Exercise (ACE)-certified personal trainer, Ian’s passion is sport and fitness. As a youngster playing football in the East London parks where he grew up, to his silver medal success aged 22 as part of the England Karate team, Ian has always given 110% to all he does. A love of travel lured him to Asia having completed a Leisure and Tourism course, where he eventually settled in Hong Kong. In 2010 he studied Fitness and Exercise, gaining a Bachelor of Science degree. Ian has played many sports over the years and incorporates what he has learned into his Primal Fit workouts – his philosophy is to train hard but also to train smart!
head trainer

Sarah Millson

Sarah is a mother-of-two who got bitten by the fitness bug after training with Ian following the birth of her second daughter. Out of shape (and out of breath), she worked herself back to fitness with Primal Fit, and by taking part in endurance races. In 2019 she qualified as a NASM certified Personal Trainer. Sarah believes a healthy, balanced diet combined with regular high-intensity workouts is the key to staying in shape, and staying strong. With informed instruction, anyone can achieve this if they set their mind to it.
trainer

Alvin Cheng

Alvin is from Hong Kong and is into many different sports, including volleyball, which he started playing at the age of 11. Almost a decade ago he started working out with Ian outdoors and has been hooked ever since on the idea of getting fit outside of a fitness centre. He studied the NASM-CPT course in 2017, becoming a licensed personal trainer in 2018. Alvin is into team sport as well as individual challenges. His philosophy is challenge the things you don't like until they don’t bother you anymore. He certainly loves burpees now!
